Legacy Air started several years ago when Greg Guthrie and Dave Hays decided to open up Legacy Air. Greg had been elected to the position of VP of one of our union’s in town and Dave worked in management for a very large contractor in Las Vegas, Nevada. One of the things that prompted both Dave and Greg to start Legacy Air was oftentimes, they got to witness firsthand how decisions made by management would not only impact the employees, but impact the customers as well. Tired of “towing the company line” even when customers were getting the raw end of the deal, both Dave and Greg decided to found Legacy Air on the principles of the book “Raving Fans”, by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. This is a book that influenced both Dave and Greg during the early years of Legacy Air. About Customer Service Philosophy- As a business model, Legacy Air follows and has built the company on the philosophy of always delighting the customer and ensuring the Legacy Air experience is the best they will ever experience.
According to Dave, “…even though we won’t experience a growth rate of six trucks per year, that isn’t our goal. We don’t want to grow so fast that we lost the customer touch that we have worked so hard to achieve. If you look at our Yelp reviews, we are the highest rated AC and heating company on Yelp and it’s because we want to turn all of customers into raving fans. ” According to Dave, “We refuse to be another sales oriented “hard sell” air conditioning company.”
