Pro AC Installation & Replacement Services
Paradise is dense, and it runs hot. The urban heat island effect here is real. Mid-century homes near UNLV, newer buildings south of the Strip, condos and apartments throughout the corridor. AC systems in Paradise don’t get the slight overnight recovery that outlying communities do, and a unit that’s been carrying that load for 10 years is usually past the point where continued repair makes financial sense.
Legacy Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical has served Paradise homeowners since 1999. This is one of the most varied housing markets in the valley, and we know how to navigate it. Older duct configurations, compact mechanical spaces, and mixed construction types all require a different approach than a standard suburban installation. So when you need a pro AC installation in Paradise, NV, don’t wait to call our Legacy HVAC team.
AC Replacement vs Repair: Which Service to Schedule
If you’re not sure whether your AC needs a repair or a full AC replacement in Paradise, NV, we can help. Typically, ten years is the standard benchmark, but in Paradise’s sustained heat environment, systems often show wear earlier than in outlying areas. A few things that shift the math toward an AC replacement are:
- The system is at 10 years or beyond with repairs coming up seasonally
- Your AC is running on R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer manufactured
- Your bills have been climbing without any usage changes
- Your home is near the University District, as these properties often have original ductwork that hasn’t been touched in decades. (Systems in those homes work significantly harder than they should because conditioned air is lost before it reaches the living spaces.)
- The repair estimate is close to, or more than, half the cost of replacement
We’re happy to provide free estimates for any AC services you need, including repairs and replacements. We’ll give you an honest picture of both options, so you fully understand your new AC unit cost in Paradise, NV.
Common AC Equipment Used For Paradise Houses
Paradise homes vary more than almost anywhere else in the valley. A 1960s ranch near Flamingo Road has completely different load characteristics than a new condo near the 215. We do a full load calculation on every Paradise installation, inspect the duct system, and assess the mechanical space before specifying anything. We install Lennox, Coleman, Amana, Carrier, Trane, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, and Goodman.
What we see most often in Paradise and what we recommend includes:
- Ductless Mini-Split Systems: Ductless mini-splits are more common here than in any other part of the valley we serve. Many Paradise condos and older properties either can’t accommodate central systems or have duct configurations that make replacement impractical. Ductless solves both problems.
- Two-Stage or Variable-Speed Equipment: For homes with functional duct systems, high-efficiency two-stage or variable-speed equipment handles Paradise’s sustained heat conditions better than single-stage units that cycle hard.
- High-Efficiency Systems: These systems pay back faster here than almost anywhere else. A long cooling season and high electricity costs mean the operating savings add up quickly.
- Heat Pump Systems: Heat pumps are increasingly practical in Nevada. Summers are extreme, but winters are cold, and a heat pump handles both seasons efficiently.
