After years of seeing poor management have a negative impact on employees and customers, Greg Guthrie and Dave Hays opened Legacy Air. With Greg’s position of VP in the local union and Dave’s years of experience in management for a large contractor in Las Vegas, Nevada, the two developed a business model that focuses on the customer first, ensuring that the Legacy Air experience is a cut above the rest.
The goal of Legacy Air was never to become the biggest and lose touch with the needs of the customers, which is why we’re able to deliver unparalleled service and dedication to our loyal customers. In our eyes, the customer is always right, and we’re always happy to work toward a resolution that creates a lifelong business relationship.
According to Dave, “…even though we won’t experience a growth rate of six trucks per year, that isn’t our goal. We don’t want to grow so fast that we lost the customer touch that we have worked so hard to achieve. If you look at our Yelp reviews, we are the highest rated AC and heating company on Yelp and it’s because we want to turn all our customers into raving fans. ” According to Dave, “We refuse to be another sales oriented “hard sell” air conditioning company.”
Along the way, we have managed to grow from our humble start to a large company that employs 14 expert technicians, four professional installers and one plumber, as well as five office employees. Unlike many other large companies, however, we recognize that our employees are the key to our success, and they’re just as passionate and invested in our mission as we are.

As a matter of fact, Greg states that, “I have worked in the industry for almost twenty years and have seen how many companies operate. I have seen them come and go, and have noticed one thing that is central to all those with any kind of longevity… Every company that lasts has been a customer oriented business. While many companies ask- “how can we afford to do that, our answer is “how can we afford not to?” In truth we are able to do this because we do have the best available technicians, and we provide them with the best available equipment and products.
